The People We Serve
HTF programs serve a broad range of the population throughout the County of Santa Barbara, California. HTF finances affordable rental and home ownership housing for working families, single parents, minimum wage earners to upper moderate-income workforce employees, farm workers, senior citizens, homeless persons, and other persons with special needs in Santa Barbara’s diverse communities.
Programs
The Revolving Loan Fund for Affordable Housing provides low-interest loans to housing sponsors that serve lower income residents, with primary focus on low-income households earning between 0-80% of Area Median Income.
The Workforce Homebuyer Program provides down payment loans to low-to-middle income workers and families, allowing them to purchase a home in the community where they work.
The new Housing Innovations Program will research and demonstrate innovative technologies that can reduce the cost of constructing affordable housing and encourage sustainability through the use of natural, recycled, climate resilient and fire-resistant building materials and state-of-the-art energy systems.
